You will master basic handling requirements for everyday common situations on the water, starting with dock departure, turning the boat around 180 degrees and docking approaches.

Module 3 | 3hrs

Focus will be on real-world boat handling situations on the open water, learning to read navigational signals, and learn how to avoid over-steering and course correction issues when traveling a long distance.

You will learn how to reach planing speed, handle wakes, sharp maneuvers and man-overboard tactics.

By successfully completing all four training modules, along with this online curriculum and test, you will qualify for a Boater Education Certification Card that is valid to rent and operate boats in all 50 States.

For private training, one person registers for the course but up to 4 participants can be onboard (e.g. family members). These classes are great for new boat owners or individuals who want boat safety training in a private, personalized setting.

The Instructor is committed to teach the course at the scheduled date/time*.

Training on: Our Boat (if available)

For open training, participants register on a per person basis. These classes are for anyone who may not own their own boat but want to learn boat safety training. A minimum of three registered students is required for each session.

The Instructor is not committed to teach the course at the scheduled date/time if the minimum is not met - if that occurs, the participant will be contacted to reschedule the training to a new date/time.

*Note: There may be some instances why a trip may not take place at the scheduled date/time (e.g. weather conditions, participant rescheduling/cancellation...learn more).
